Road to Success for the US

Hey this is your 2010 USA Soccer Team Captain Landon Donavon. I just wanted to take a moment today to talk about this amazing experience I get to be a part of. I feel very strongly about our team this year and I hope to have the support to the American people. I know that soccer isn't the most important or most popular sport in the U.S. but this is the year we make a name for the USA Soccer Team! The only way to make a name for ourselves is to do some serious damage in this tornament. My expectations for South Africa is a warm feeling for all teams. I would expect that they took pride in hosting this great event and have a good experience for all. I hope that if we come out on top and win this tornament that we will open the eyes to the American people to what soccer has to offer and the potential of the U.S. Team. We could have a dominant powerful soccer team if we started to get the American people to focus on soccer. The U.S. team can only grow stronger and become better. Honestly, I dont want to talk about the negatives or the bad that could happen in this tornament. The U.S. team is not portrayed as a winning team so that is better for us. We will be relaxed and smooth because the lack of pressure we have. So follow us, the U.S. Team, as we play our hearts out and win America its first World Cup victory. -Josh Azar

Why the USA is better than you

The USA is the best country in the world. We have the best economy the best sports and the best schools. So we're going to win the world cup. We have a great soccer team because we're the only country that calls it soccer and all the other countries in the world are wrong. We also have the best armed forces in the world which help keep the world safe even though a lot of the other countries hate us for no reason. IF it wasn't for us the world wouldn't even have soccer because we protected the world from getting taken over by the Nazi's in WWII and we are still hated by the countries over there. So we're going to win the world cup because we have the best soccer team in the world and because we're just better.
You can just look at the facts because every game we won in the preliminary round was a good solid win and when we lost a game it was always close. On top of that we have a great team captain who seems to always do his best for our world cup. But Landon Donovan can't win the cup by himself so helping along the way are Oguchi Onyewu, Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, Tim Howard, and Clint Dempsey. I hope that South Africa is ready because America is going to stage one of the greatest upsets in world cup history and everyone who's watching the cup is going to cry because they just were beaten by America.-Bryce Zander
